A theory of the Dember effect in bipolar
semiconductors accounting for the boundary conditions in a
metal–semiconductor contact and distortion of energy bands near
semiconductor surface is presented. It is shown that the Dember
electromotive force (emf) depends on the surface potential and the
Dember emf is negative for flat energy bands.

METALINIŲ KONTAKTŲ ĮTAKA
DEMBERIO ELEKTROVARAI BIPOLINIUOSE PUSLAIDININKIUOSE

Darbe pateikiama Demberio elektrovaros (EV)
teorija, kurioje atsižvelgta į kraštines sąlygas
metalo–puslaidininkio sandūroje ir energijos zonų iškrypimą
puslaidininkio paviršiuje. Parodyta, kad Demberio EV iš esmės
priklauso nuo paviršiaus elektrinio potencialo, kuris nulemia
energijos zonų iškrypimą. Plokščių energijos zonų atveju Demberio
EV yra neigiama.
