Theoretical Atomic spectroscopy (author of more than 240 scientific papers)

• Investigations of polarization in the ionization processes of atoms by photons, electrons and higly charged ions and in the spontaneous decay of the crearted ions via emission of radiation and Auger electrons.
• Investigations of the ionization of atoms and ions using relaxed-orbital and sudden perturbation approximations.
• Investigations of the simultaneous ionization and excitation of atoms by photons and electrons taking into account the nonorthogonality of the radial orbitals of the wave functions from the initial and final states and the correlation effects of the electrons in discrete states.
• The simulation of the elementary processes in laboratory and astrophysical plasma and radiation spectra.
• Investigation of the interaction of laser radiation with solids.
• Investigation of the process of resonant electron capture with excitation by a multiply charged ion from neutral atom, molecule or crystal.
• Calculations of the spectroscopic parameters of atoms and ions in autoionizing states or states with vacancies in inner shells using configuration interaction approach or nonorthogonal radial orbitals.
• Developments of the graphical technique for the calculation of the angular matrix elements in the case of nonorthoganal radial orbitals.
• Calculations of atomic form-factors, incoherent scattering functions, differential and total cross sections of Rayleigh and Compton scattering of photons for atoms and ions using generalized hydrogen-like analytical radial orbitals.
• Calculations of the Compton profiles of atoms and ions.
